Cookies
ComputerOne.co.nz uses "cookies" to improve your use of computerone.co.nz services.
We use temporary (per-session) cookies, for the following purposes:
- To "remember" that a computerone.co.nz subscriber has logged in. This means that you don't have to enter your username and password more than once a visit.
- To determine if your Internet browser has Java-script enabled. If not, we display some pages in a different format.
- To determine if your Internet browser is compatible with the site. If you have an early version browser the site may not display correctly and some features may not operate properly. In this situation we will display a warning message to you.
- To help us keep track of items you have added to your shopping basket for purchase, so we can process your order.
Please note: Our temporary cookies must be accepted in order to login and gain access to the Fee-Based Services on the Site, or to purchase a subscription or product from us. If your browser is set to notify you when you receive a cookie, you will be prompted to accept the cookie (Yes/No). Please select "Yes".
Our temporary cookies will disappear when you close your browser or logout of computerone.co.nz.
We use permanent (persistent) cookies for our automatic login feature. When enabled on a computer, this feature means that members don't have to manually login each time they visit computerone.co.nz from that computer. Your browser must be set to accept permanent cookies for this feature to work.
You can choose not to enable this feature. If you do choose to use the automatic login, this feature can be turned off at any time by logging out.
Important! You should not use the automatic login feature unless you are the only person who has access to the computer. Never enable this feature on a public access computer - this could allow other people to access the site under your login and access your computerone.co.nz account details.
We also use cookies with some of our polls and surveys, to help manage user responses, for some aspects of the site search function, and for tracking conversions from some of our online advertising and promotions.
